A review of two quality online sources to find the right chevy truck accessory

This automotive website specializes in a limited number of car makes. Included in their line are chevy truck accessory products. Performance Products personalizes the site to your vehicle by asking you to select the year, make and model of your vehicle. Any page you access will subsequently be tailored to your vehicle and to start off you will get a product directory from which you can choose the chevy truck accessory you are looking for. Every link or product will be for items fitting your chevy make and model or for generic items fitting all makes and models. The site has no fancy frills, a limited number of links to stuff other than products, no news, no forums, no tip articles, nothing but product directories of products, they get you straight to the point !!

We did a walk-through for a few chevy truck accessory items. We chose a 2001 pick-up S-10 extreme and from the product directory we clicked on "Accessories Exterior" then got a list of over 10 sub-directory choices, chose "bed accessories" then got a list of specific products, selected "tailgate protector" and we got a nice large photo, a product description, pricing information.

We repeated the process for "Accessories interior" and got the same quality information. You know that every product shown is compatible with your vehicle. In certain cases the information will also include a color pallet (this is a pretty good feature if your chosen chevy truck accessory comes in a choice of different colours).

This website has a truck accessories link on the home page. Once you click on the link you get a simple list of general truck accessories categories. Once you select a category you will have to indicate the year, make, model, and engine type (interesting !) of your vehicle if you have not selected a general category. Once you identify your chevy truck you then get list of chevy truck accessory products with prices, part numbers, shipping info and a brief product description.

We tought this site is most interesting for their "learn" section. You can register your vehicle to a diagnostic system called Smartfix, you can get a maintenance schedule personalized for your chevy truck, a reliability rating of your vehicle covering the engine, heating & air Conditioning, transmission and driveline, steering and suspension, starting and charging power accessories and brakes. This section also includes recall information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and car care tips (our favourite page). OUF !!

As you can see this website offers more than just chevy truck accessory products. This is more appealing to certain people while others don't like to waste too much time on the web. The choice is yours.
