This automotive website specializes in a limited number of car makes. Included in their line are Ford truck accessories. Performance Products personalizes the site to your vehicle by asking you to select the year, make and model of your vehicle. Any page you access will subsequently be tailored to your vehicle and to start off you will get a product directory from which you can choose ford truck accessories you are looking for. Every link or product will be for items fitting your ford make and model or for generic items fitting all makes and models. The site has no fancy frills, a limited number of links to stuff other than products, no news, no forums, no tip articles, nothing but product directories, they get you straight to the point !!

We did a walk-through for a few ford truck accessories. We clicked on "For Your Vehicle" and chose a 2001 Ford F-250, from the product directory we clicked on "Accessories Exterior" then got a list of aroud 15 sub-directory choices, chose "Grille guards" then got a list of specific brands, selected "Manik grille guards" then got a couple of different products, selected one and we got a nice large photo, a product description, pricing information as well as color pallets (this is a pretty cool feature for your chosen ford truck accessories).

We repeated the process for "Body exterior" and got the same quality information. If you choose a product you know it's compatible with your vehicle.

If you want a website that will take you only to ford truck accessories and generic products fitting all makes you will probably like it. If you like a site offering more than just products see the next review.

This website has a truck accessories link on the home page. Once you click on the link you get a simple list of general truck accessories categories. Once you select a category you will have to indicate the year, make, model, and engine type (interesting !) of your vehicle if you have not selected a general category. Once you identify your ford truck you then get list of ford truck accessories and parts with prices, part numbers, shipping info and a brief product description.

We tought this site is most interesting for their "learn" section. You can register your vehicle to a diagnostic system called Smartfix, you can get a maintenance schedule personalized for your ford truck, a reliability rating of your vehicle covering the engine, heating & air Conditioning, transmission and driveline, steering and suspension, starting and charging power accessories and brakes. This section also includes recall information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and car care tips (our favourite page). OUF !!

As you can see this website offers more than just products. This is more appealing to certain people while others don't like to waste too much time on the web. The choice is up to you.
