Performance and looks with spinning hubcaps !

Have you ever tought about a set of spinning hubcaps ? These wheel covers are one of the slickest accessories available today. They are quickly and easilly installed right over the top of the steel rim and they are practically unbreakable and very light.

How to figure out the right size

To figure out the right size of spinning hubcaps take a look at the information shown on the side of your tires. You will find the size number right next to the "R" letter. For example, a P185 / 65 R14 tire tells you that the wheel needs a 14 inch wheel cover.

A typical kit of spinning hubcaps is made from unbreakable engineering plastic to last. The material is super light weight. Here are some general specifications :

- Super lightweight unbreakable advance polymeric-polyolefin engineering material.
- Triple chrome plated finish.
- Perfectly balance spinner, no weight offset to cause vibration.
- Straight radial-high Chrome Steel Bearing.
- Takes just a few minutes to install.
- Spinning action continues long after your car has stopped.
- Optional Performance Kit available. Includes spinning enhancers for longer spin time.
- Optional Anti-Theft locks are available for most spinning hubcaps (highly reccomended !!).

Here are some general guidelines to properly install your spinning hubcaps :

¤ Install the steel wire ring properly into the clips, then adjust the tire valve position
¤ Adjusting the fit of your spinning hubcaps is easy. If the wheel cover is too big or difficult to put on the steel wheel, just push or bend the welding point until it fits properly.
¤ Some adjustment for the tire valve will probably be necessary :

1) Fit the wheel cover in position on opposite side of the valve
2) Press the wheel cover properly into position on the opposite side of the valve
3) Press the valve side of the wheel cover firmly into the wheel and ensure a secure fit
4) Make sure the "V" on the ring is between the posts of the hubcap base where the cut out of the tire valve is.

If you choose the optional performance kit

A kit of spinning hubcaps includes 2 parts, the spinner and the base. The spinner is the portion that spins while your car stays stationary. The base is the part that locks onto the wheel with a wire ring rentention system. Let's look at the different steps involved in the installation of the optional performance kit :

¤ Turn the hubcap spinner so that the back of the spinner is facing you.
¤ Clean the spinner back surface throughly, removing all dirt, grease and residue
¤ Remove the protective tape backing from the spinner weights and place weights on the back of the spinner in desired position 1, 2, 3 or as shown on the diagram. Press weight firmly in place.
¤ You will need to apply same amount of weights to all 5 spokes of the spinner at the exact same location you have chosen. Otherwise, it will cause vibration which might damage the spinner.

Differences between the three positions

1. The hubcap spinner can spin for 25-30* seconds and it will cause the least vibration to the spinner.
2. The hubcap spinner can spin for 30-40* seconds and it will cause more vibration to the spinner.
3. The hubcap spinner can spin for 40+* seconds and it will cause the most vibration to the spinner.

Now, you know as much about spinning hubcaps as the experts !!

Enjoy the ride !
